 It seems like just a few years ago
we were planning our move from the hustle and bustle of
Annapolis, Maryland to sunny Southwest Florida. We spent hours
surfing the Internet to locate every bit of information we
could find about our future home of Cape Coral and the
surrounding area. This was the 20th time we moved in 34 years
(and the kids kept finding us) so we managed with relatively
few problems but we also realized that with Internet
resources, our experience could have been even smoother.
When we arrived, our local dive club was looking for help
with their website and thought that two retired Computer
Scientists could probably manage to help them out. It looked
like fun and we jumped in.
We decided to create our own site that highlighted our new
home, Cape Coral and Southwest Florida. We began by publishing
a list of all websites that we could find in the Cape Coral
and Ft. Myers area. We
offered low cost sites to area businesses and our customer
base began to expand. And ... here we are. We currently
receive over 1800 visitors each day. We hold high
positions in most search engines looking for information on
Cape Coral and Southwest Florida.
Our Internet directory has increased enough that we've had
to add categories instead of a single page that lists local
businesses -- it's good news because it means that the on-line
presence in the area has grown by leaps and bounds. Our
visitor count continues to grow and our email comes from
visitors all over the world. We spend many hours looking for
local businesses that can be included in our directory
listings for local information.
We provide free directory listings for anyone that has a
website in the southwest Florida area including Lee County,
Collier County, and Charlotte County. We offer inexpensive Feature Advertising
in our directory listings (cheaper than any yellow pages).
